Amnesty International is an international grassroots movement. Much of our work is done by volunteers. We have volunteers who help plan and organise campaigns, volunteers who assist the office and volunteers who organise and run local groups

We invite you to contact us if you would like to join their efforts to release prisoners of conscience, to focus on targeted country campaigns, or to work on other human rights issues such as torture, refugees, and the death penalty.

If you would like to consider starting a group in your own community, please contact us and we can provide you with all the information you need on how to do this, as well as connect you with an experienced Amnesty member who can directly assist you.

What We Offer To Our Volunteers

  • Valuable and varied experience of work in the field of human rights
  • Develop skills, knowledge and experience in computer literacy, dealing with public enquiries, office administration and team working
  • Opportunity to be part of an exciting programme of work, making a real difference to people's lives

What We Expect From Our Volunteers

  • To carry out work in line with Amnesty's aims and objectives
  • To respect Amnesty's values
